seeking advise for dependents of settled person

Post by myo » Thu Jul 12, 2012 9:34 am

Hi
I am recently granted ILR on 10 years stay. My wife and four years old son(born in UK) are dependents of me, their visa type is work permit holder's dependent, which will be expiring in 2013.
As I am now granted ILR, what type of visa should be applied for them(wife and son). I wonder it would be FLR(M)???
What documents do they need?
Does she need English Language test (A1 level)?
Does she need Life in the UK test?
What should I do for my son's visa status?
I have read FLR(M) guidance and form, however I want to make sure everything to be right before sending out their application.
Could you please someone who is competent in this case suggest me accordingly?
I am grateful to you all in advance.
regards
Myo

Does she need English Language test (A1 level)?

YES

Does she need Life in the UK test?

NO

What should I do for my son's visa status?

NO NEED FOR SON'S VISA. YOU CAN NOW REGISTER HIM AS BRITISH CITIZEN USING FORM MN(1)

I have read FLR(M) guidance and form, however I want to make sure everything to be right before sending out their application.
Could you please someone who is competent in this case suggest me accordingly?

JUST WHATEVER YOU HAVE READ UNDER FLR(M) GUIDANCE SHOULD DO THE JOB.

If you were a work permit holder immediately prior to being granted ILR, then your wife may apply for SET(O) (196E).

We, me and wife has been granted ILR.
On completing of SET(F), could you please answer: who is to sign for him in main applicant section and how about biometric section for him?
with regards
Myo
