Studying full time while being in the Entrepreneur Visa

Post by areyouthere? » Mon Jul 23, 2012 2:16 am

I'm a 1st year medical student and really want to specialise in UK, but due to the current immigration rules will only be able to do so if there is no suitable applicant in EU. Which means I will not be able to specialise in uk when I graduate as a doctor.

If I were to apply for the Entrepreneur visa and start a business and run it through a manager, and check on it during my free time( like weekends) will I be able to apply for settlement after 5 years? ( if the do agree it will mean that I'll be an "EU" applicant thereby can get to specialise here)

Or will they reject me saying that I did not manage the business since I'm in full time education nd that too a demanding course like medicine.

and if I were to apply with my mum as a team, will it be a problem? she runs it, but in both our names thereby I'll be able to claim settlement with her after 5years? and can my father come with my mum as a dependant?( he doesn't need do the IELTS right? )

Thank you,

John

Have you read the UKBA Guidance?

Do you and your family have the large amount of funds needs for such visas?

Yes my family has got the money, and have read the UKBA guidance over and over again, but I'm not sure of this. could you please confirm about it?

and to apply for the accelerated settlement, do I have to show a turnover in excess of £5 million or a £5 million profit?

thanks a lot.

I think you are in wrong thread of the forum.
I am sure you are talking about Tier 1 Investor visa, which allows you to accelerate settlement process.

Tier 1 Entrepreneur has different visa requirement and takes 5 years to get settlement.
