Calculating number of absences -Wrong date in passport stamp

Post by flytouknida » Sun Jul 29, 2012 10:23 am

Hi Friends,
I am on tier-1 category. I am filling Set(0) application for ILR.
I found one error in passport stamp.

I went to India on April-14th 2011 and returned back to May-3rd (18days).

But when I check for India stamp on passport, I can see Mar-14th 2011 and return UK stamp is 03-05-2011.

Ofcourse total number of absences are not crossed 100 days. I believe, Immigration Officer compare the data I provided with what data they have.

Now my question is :
What date I have to fill on the application form? Shall I fill passport stamp date (13-Mar-2011) or Correct travelled date (13-Apr-2011, I have flight tickets to prove that)?

Thanks in advance
Nida

I'd personally include the actual travel dates (outbound and return) & include a cover letter to explain if necessary with your boarding pass/ticket (honesty being the best policy). Either way I don't see this causing a problem as you say you haven't exceeded the allowed absences in either case.
