Housing benefit - claiming after ILR and spilt from spouse

Post by jakeurban2000 » Tue Jul 31, 2012 5:57 am

Dear Forum

Can someone claim benefits including income support and housing benefit after they have got ILR and have broke up from their husband who was the sponsor for the first 2 years?

Is there a time limit as to when the person can claim benefits or not?

Thank you

They are entitled to claim benefits in their own right. I'm confused, as in your previous post your wife was due to apply for ILR in November. :?
