Surely you would meet them at the airport in any case? They will emerge into the arrivals hall having cleared immigration control and then gone on to collect their bags. You can't get into the international areas to see them beforehand, or walk them through immigration.

As long as she affirms that she will return to Brazil, it will be fine. They won't refuse her entry with a young child and a husband waiting in the arrivals hall, but she may be interviewed for few minutes. Carry your cellphone.

Hi

I am finally in a job earning more than the required £18,600 per year but I have been earning this amount for the last 6 months, does this mean that I have to wait until I have 6 months of payslips showing this amount?

Also will my wife need me to send her my passport or a certified copy?

Thanks

Have you earned 18,600 in the last year in any previous employment?
If so, you can apply under Cat B with the last 12 months worth of payslips.
If not, then yes you will need to wait until you have been working for 6 months.

You would need to send a certified copy of your passport.

Hi

Thanks for your answer that's great.

One other issue that I have is that all my supporting documents take about 4 weeks to arrive in middle of nowhere Brazil, so they will not be current 6 months when my wife makes her application, will this be an issue and if so what else could I do?

Thanks

Your payslips and bank statements need to be no more than 28 days old at the time of the application. Is there a way to track the package? Only thing I could suggest is to do the application once the docs are on their way.

Hello! can someone please help me! My husband is in Brazil, I am a British citizen (currently in the UK) and am acting as his sponsor. I am currently completing the online application (without the help of a solicitor) but am confused by the fact it (i) doesn't include a financial information section? Will I have to provide Appendix 2 in paper form when my husband submits all the supporting documents in person? (ii) in the Spouse Section, it asks when I arrived in the UK, I was born in the UK so not sure what to put here. Also (iii) on one occasion I took my husband to A+E, we was seen by a doctor and given a prescription for antibiotics - is this something I have to declare in the medical treatment section?
Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!

i -You need to print appendix 2 and complete by hand
ii -Simply put your date of birth
iii -not 100% sure however if it's NHS treatment I would assume so

p.s your solicitor is being paid to know this! Don't pay out for something you are having to still get elsewhere for free!
