Naturalization application more than 6 months old now

Hi.
I applied for UK naturalization on 1st of Feb. Acknowledgment was received dated 7th of Feb and the money was taken around the same time.
I called UKBA today, that is 2nd of August and they told me its in the process of initial checking/verification. Any idea what I can do apart from just waiting. Thanks

I started getting impatient and used to call UKBA every other day. Have convinced myself that there is no use of it. So gave up and it appeared suddenly in the post.

I don't think we can do much apart from waiting. Some people do contact their local MP and submit a letter about the process. I wonder if that makes any difference to your application if not to the actual process.
