points for age

Post by shukri1 » Sat Aug 04, 2012 4:43 pm

Hi there,

I am currently on a Tier 1 (General) permit which expires next year. I have recently received a new passport in replacement of my old one which was approaching its expiry date. My current Tier 1 permit is now on the old passport.

In Tier 1 (General) of the Points Based System Policy Guidance , the "Documents Required" section for age states that the following evidence is required:

1) Biometric Residence Permit, which contains the date of approval of the last grant of leave and the age of the applicant; or

2) Current valid original passport/travel document containing the last visa granted to the applicant.

I intend to send both passports when I apply for an extension. Could somebody kindly tell me if this would be sufficient for me to claim age points given that my permit is now on the old passport?

Thanks indeed

age points have nothing to do with sending old & new passport

you dont need to "claim" age points in extension application, you will get the same as what you got during initial application
