Previous Earnings ILR - Annual Bonus? Green Scheme Payments

Post by BACK_TO_GB » Mon Aug 06, 2012 1:06 pm

Hi All - am on Tier 1 applying for ILR next week by PO at croydon.

Should I include my Annual bonus amount (in JUne Salary) when calculating sum for previous earnings?

It doesnt make some difference to the points I get from previous earnings (takes me to next band) but I dont need it as I have got enough points. but regardless I would like to know what is the right thing to do so that I dont confuse the CW or get my wait delayed!

So on my payslips I have...

1) Basic PAY
2) Green scheeme payment + (for not brining car to work! )

and on June 2012
3) Bonus Payment....

Two Questions:

Q1) shall I include Payments 2) of every month?
Q2) Shall I include Bonuses from June 2012?

MAny thanks,

why not. I say anything you pay TAX on, include in your gross earnings. so if you are getting taxed on green scheme payment then it can be included in the gross salary so does the bonus as bonuses are taxed.

Thanks innocentdevil.

I agree with your reasoning here but I was wondering from an application point of view... Would that be something the caseworker expects? as per the guidelines they have?

Is it correct to include ALL pretax pay? am just not sure?

Many thanks,

yes, Gross Salary is what is counted not the Net Salary.

if you salary is 25K a year and with bonus it goes upto 30K a year, out of that 30K you are only getting 22K net take home so you are paying tax on it so you should claim that earning points, just for example's sake

Hi

Mate I really agree with innocentdevil reply I would include every single penny in my application case if I am paying any tax on it so I would highly recommend you to include all of those payments in to your Gross payments.

Hope fully this will answer your question.

Please do kindly share your PEO experience with us on the forum.

Good luck for your ILR.

Thanks innocentdevil & Thanks Smam.

I will take by your advise. Have already prepared my Covering Letter which will have a Table showing Gross Pay (including these Green payments & Annual Bonuses), Date of Pay to my bank account, and Net Pay to my account. so as to make life really easy for the CW...

Cheers to both of you...
