Bank statement dates

Post by MWill » Mon Aug 13, 2012 3:51 pm

My wife is applying for her ILR SET(M) soon, and we wanted to include her US bank account statements as proof of savings, just to boost the application. Because of the time it takes for the statements to reach her parents in the US, and then for them to send them to us, it might be that on the date we apply, the most recent statement we have is slightly over a month old - maybe 35 days, as the latest one will still be in the post. Should this be OK? We'll provide the most recent three we have, and they'll all show a very similar balance.

Does anyone know if it's a problem? The balance of the account is high and it doesn't change too much over the three months we will have statements for.

well as far as I can remember latest bank statement should not be more than 30 days( no more than 30 days) of your application date. I guess 35 days falls outside.

Balance is not really matter . I mean as far as you have some money there I would say

Good luck.

The 30 day thing is the rule for the Tier visas/ILR, but there isn't a rule like that for spouse ILR/SET M, as far as I can see. It seems to be one of those discretionary things for the IO.

yes try your luck. I suppose if you have all other documents in order it shouldn't be an issue.

Good luck !
