Just wanted to get a true idea if it takes 48hours for the results to get to the UKBA or if it typically takes longer?

typically takes much longer.

you have to account for working days and not calander days too.

I would say allow for a miniumum of 3 working days

I allowed exactly 3 working days... But I still ran into trouble, now I'm stuck.. Been waiting for a week for verifications... And I'm supposed to travel in the next 7 days... So much for a same day service...

Also.. So much for 48hour wait!!

Some test centres (including the one where my husband took his test) state that they take 7 days to notify the Home Office of the results.
