Garden leave and ILR for Tier 1

Post by abc111 » Thu Aug 16, 2012 1:17 pm

Hi,

I am a tier 1 immigrant and have ILR due in 10 months, I resigned and my employer sent me to garden leave for my entire notice period of 4 weeks (paid).

I am wondering if this has any affects on my & dependants' ILR?!

HR is willing to provide me any support/ documents (payslips etc.) that will be required for ILR.

My child will be UK born so I will go for citizenship, would this will be impacted at all??

Please advise.

Many thanks.

no effect on anything, since you are getting paid, this will be payment in lieu of notice, get your normal payslip for salary during this period & ask your employer to give you a letter that X month's salary was payment in lieu of notice
