Accountant charges for providing Tier 1 visa documentation

Post by johnjoe » Thu Aug 16, 2012 5:26 pm

Hello All,

I am applying for Tier 1 General visa extension. I have asked my accountant to provide the necessary documentation which includes the below.

Sign and stamp on payslips.
financial statements
Letter from the accountant
Dividend vouchers.

My accountant is charging me approximately £400 to provide this documentation. Is this normal(do other accountants charge similar?) or am I being ripped off here? Please someone throw light on this? Appreciate your help!

It could vary from one accountant to the other. The fees could range any where from 150 - 500.

Do your payslips need to be signed and stamped?

If your payslips are original and are on the company's letter head then no, if they are online printout then yes. if you need to double check it, read the ukba policy guide lines.

financial statements - Whats that? If monthly processing then its their job to provide it.
Letter from the accountant - Most of the accounts issue it free of cost.
Dividend vouchers. - Its their job to provide DV.

My accountant is charging me approximately £400 to provide this documentation.
400 is way too high. My accountant (Nixon Williams) had provide all above, without charging anything.

Rajesh, How much did you pay in total for the services which they had provided you in terms of getting the papers like balance sheet,p and l,invoice summary, letter etc.

Are you paying them monthly, annually or one off for all that??
