hi,
my husband joined me as work permit dependant ( i was on work permit).
i have now got my ilr as i completed 5 year work permit.

is it right that as he was work permit dependant he can now also apply for ILR without completing the 2 year qualifying period. this is under rule 196D. i am getting mixed messages.

Dear All,

I have read the posts here and I'm a bit confused. Please can someone answer my query:

My husband received ILR in February 2014 through the long residence (10 year continuous residence) route. My question is whether I can apply for ILR straight away or not?

Bit of background about my husband application for ILR under long residence route (10 years continuous stay):

1. Money debited on 19th September
2. Biometric done on 16th October
3. ILR received on 4th February

About me:

1. Came to uk on 5th November 2011 as Tier 1 Dependent
2. When my husband applied for ILR, I hadn't completed 2 years ( i was short by 2 months)
3. When my husband received ILR on 4th February, I had completed 2 years as PBS dependent.

Please can someone confirm which form I need to use to apply for further leave:

a. Can I apply for ILR straight away?
b. Do I need to apply for FLR (M) for ILR dependent?

I'd be much grateful if someone can answer this question?

Many thanks in advance,

Regards,
ILR Dependent
