Family Visit Visa - Overdrawn Bank Statement Query

Post by rachsach » Thu Aug 23, 2012 3:10 pm

Hi,

I have a small query regarding my overdrawn bank statement. I am in a process of applying for my parents general visit visa to visit me in the UK. As per the requirements of this visa, I understand that I have to provide my last 6 months bank statements to show income is credited to my bank account.

The problem I have is that the bank account where my salary gets transferred every month is my current account and due to lot of activities this account always stay in overdraft. However, I have a savings account where I keeping upto £4000 from the last few months.

My questions are -

1. Is it mandatory for my to include my current bank statements?
2. Can I instead include my salary slips and 6 months savings bank statements of £4000 as balance?
3. Shall I include both statements?

Please advise

Thanks

Romila

I'd send both and a covering note.
