All is gud and since my company applied after that we havnt hearf anythng from ukba.

Regarding the visit as per my understanding its not compulsory but ideally they should come and inspect the company but so far nothing at all but if they do come for visit I wil update you.

Also do you have any update on your case?

Do update us

Kind Regards

Rehan
Hi Rehan sorry I was out of the country for a while. Missed your PM'S.

It seems you have already applied.

To answer your question: Depends. For some people they do a pre license audit and for some post audit. Our company had an 'unannounced post license audit'

Hope you will get the license soon mate.
Hi Madona587 and Rehan

I have a small limited company (3 people) and applied for a Sponsor License about 3 weeks ago and was looking for some advice.

Madona587 I had some questions and would really appreciate some help.

1) I was wondering how much notice you get from the UKBA inspectors before a visit. I ask this because I work at client sites myself and as I am the main person dealing with the license application, I will need to get back to the business before they turn up.

2) As we are a start up company we don't really have a HR department as such so I am not sure what the HR practices means. Especially when they talk about procedures in place to ensure employees are monitored. I was hoping this simply means I have an employment contract with clauses which bind the employees to tell me if they are not at work. I will not immediately know if my staff are working as they will mostly be at client sites. I will however know at the end of the week as they will submit time sheets on a weekly basis.

Rehan how did you get on with your License? Did you have any visits? Please tell me if any experience.

This thread is very useful as I cant find much else on the experience of applying for a license on the web.

Regards
Naeem.

Hi Rehan,

I just came across your post on sponsership license. Would be great if you can answer my below Questions

1. Do UKBA gives you a sufficient time before coming for the audit.
2. My company was opened in 2012 but has not done any trading till now. My registered address is a virtual office address in a buisness complex. (virtual office address are used just for all official communication with HMRC when we dont want home address to be out on their site). So if Home office decide to visit me for audit where will they come?
3. I have supported my application with VAT registration, PAYE registration, Employe liability insurance for upto £5 million,Buisness bank account statements. Is there anything else i need to give it to them. I have a online HR system but i dont know how i can show that on application?
4.I am the sole owner/employe which is intend to trade once i get the license. As a startup buisness do i need to show them anything in particular?

All replies are much appreciated. Please Help !

Regards
Seema
