Spouse accompanying the business visitor as tourist vistor

Post by harsha.shs » Wed Aug 29, 2012 10:11 pm

Hi All, can you please help me with the following case:

I'm Harsha from India and have come to London as a business visitor and will remain here for 8 weeks. I would like to know if I can have my wife join me as a tourist visitor for 4 weeks towards the end of my trip?

My trip is completely sponsored by the company and I will support my wife's travel and trip. but I want to know if that can be done when I'm on business visit?

If it is possible, how should I prepare the case:

1. Should I mention that I'm on business visit and my wife will just visit the country as a tourist?

2. Since my wife is a house wife and dependent on me, I'll support her trip financially. Is that fine?

3. We have a joint bank account, so I'm guessing we can show that as financial support

4. I hope I can completely reveal to the UK immigration about the details of my trip with all the necessary documents.

5. Is there anything specific that I should take care when my wife apply's for the tourist visa?

I appreciate any advice and look forward to clarifications asap.

Please feel free to reach out to me if you need any further details.

Thanks in advance.

Harsha

Yes, it's fine for her to apply. However, since you are already inside the UK and will remain there for only 8 weeks, it is not certain that her visa will be issued in time.
