ILR for dependent on tier 1 general

Post by saqib_26 » Sun Sep 16, 2012 8:53 pm

I am on tier1 general visa, going to apply ILR in January 2013. I want to ask about dependent visa for ILR.

My wife spend with me 3 years in UK but this period is not continues

e.g 8 month in UK and 7 month in Pakistan

and then 10 month in the UK and 6 month and 3 days the uk

now 7 month in UK

so according to condition depend should be in with main applicant

is compulsory continues or

is acceptable intervals

Can home office will be acceptable this period 8 +10+ 7 = 25

month
in the uk interval periods,
can fulfil 2 year condition

I have a similar query. While my wife is staying with me continuously for 2.5 yrs, but I dont have sufficient cohab documents.

However she visited NHS/GP quite a few times

1. Can I ask GP to provide me the dates of visit and the date when she was registered ?

2. Can I get such a letter of Cohabitation for my wife, from neighbouring friends who are staying here at same street for 3+ years and I am also here staying at same address for 3+ yrs with my wife being here for last 2.5 yrs.

Hi ,

I was also in same situation as yours,
I collected documents of address proof from following :
1. Bank Statements (My name , wife name)
2. Electrol Register (Me name , wife name) -paid £25 each
3. GP Letter (My name , wife name)-paid £20 each.

My wife also had gap of 3years in between, please find my experience

Hi ilrdep - In your post, you mentioned

3. GP Letter (My name , wife name)-paid £20 each.

This letter you got by requesting your GP and paying them £20 ? Or you requested NHS ?

What is this letter called ? or What did you request and to whom ?

I am surprised that you paid GBP 25 for ELectoral Register Confirmation. I paid only 10 GBP.

I took it from GP (Surgery) , I just told them I need address proof for both of us.
You were lucky to get it from Electroll for £ 10 :) I think it depends on Council.

I came to UK on WP for 1st 2 years in Jan 2008, In Jan 2010, it got changed to T2 ICT.

If I apply for ILR, whether I will be treated as WP case or T2 ICT case ?

Next year when my 5 years will be completed my wife would be here for 2 years 10 months. Can she apply for ILR same time as me?
