naturalisation

Post by nehalbhagat » Mon Sep 24, 2012 7:53 pm

Hello friends,
My wife and I obtained ILR last year in November. I am here since 2003 and my wife from 2009. Can she apply for naturalisation with me in November this year or she needs to wait for 5 years ?

Can she apply after I become british citizen as my dependent?
Please kindly advise.

I am planning to apply Naturalisation end of November via NCS. I have secure one refree who is a manager and British Citizen at my workplace, can I use Environment Highways Manager who works for local council as my second refree.I guess he works for local authority which count as local government body.

Please can you kindly advise.

Thanks

Is the "Environment Highways Manager" a person of professional standing? Does being employed by a local council make him one?

Hello Sushdmehta and thanks for your reply.

In the Home office professional person list- one for local government officer so I thought your local council classify as local govt.

He does not have any professional degree for the job he does but he is working since 15 years as Manager. Please can you advise

Thanks

IMHO, he is a "local council" employee rather than a "local government officer".

Can both the referees be British Citizen or does it have to be one referee as British Citizen and another referee should be a person of any nationality who has professional standing, such as a minister of religion, civil servant or a member of a professional body, for example accountant or solicitor (but not representing you with this application).
