Applying Naturalization(Myself, my spouse and 5 ye Daughter)

Post by deboo007 » Sat Sep 29, 2012 11:51 pm

Hi, First of all thanks a lot to this forum who helped me for applying my ILR.
I am now due for Naturalization.
I have few doubts and here is my situation:
- Entered UK in Sep 2006(My Self and my Wife)
- Sept 2007-Sept 2008 , My wife was in India due to Pregnancy.
- Total absence is about 500 days including the period as mentioned above.
- Sept 2011 Myself, my wife and my daughter got the ILR
- October 2012 We want to apply for Naturalization.
Can my wife apply for the Naturalization along with me?

Thanks is Advance.
Regards.

Regards,
If she hasn't been in the UK in October 2007 (5 years before the application), then she doesn't meet the requirement.

You can apply yourself and if you are granted BC, your wife can apply as a spouse of BC. The residence requirement is 3 years in that case so assuming you will become BC in 4-5 months, she should have been in the UK around March 2010 (depending when she apply).

Thanks Guru. I will do the same as suggested.
