Query regarding maintenance fund

Post by keme » Sun Sep 30, 2012 6:11 pm

I have just submitted my Tier 1 visa application with 2 dependants. On my maintenance fund I used my current account with 2,100 as evidence of fund. Now I am thinking of moving this fund back into my savings account.
I have done biometric and currently on the everlasting queue
If I move this money back to my saving and their was any issue with my application can I still use the current account and savings account to as evidence?
For example current acct A closing balance up to 30/09/2012 2100, balance afterwards equals 0000
Savings Acct B starting balance as of 30/09/2012 2100.
Am just wondering if anything happens and I need to make out of time applications or go for appeal ( God forbid)

You say "moving funds back to savings account". Were you under the impression that funds in only "current accounts" were accepted and you therefore moved your funds from savings to current? If so, you were under a wrong impression.

Sushi- i was never under the impression that current account was the only account that home office accepts.

Your post has not answered my question ( read it well please) but many thanks

its ok to withdraw the maintenance funds after you have made the application, but advisable to keep it in until you get a decision

going by the book, the maintenance cash funds should be in an accessible form for 3 months before your application so technically you can withdraw after applying but I would keep it

there was no need to move the funds from savings to current account if you had access to them in the savings account at any time
