Query regarding reapplying of UK Family Visitor Visa

Post by nayagam » Sun Sep 30, 2012 6:35 pm

Hello,

Iam a permanent resident in the UK and my parents are re-applying the UK family visitor visa as it got refused the first time due to non maintenance of funds in their bank account.

I wanted to clarify few things before we reapply as we wanted to make sure we absolutely get everything right the second time.

1. My father is a Farmer (Agriculture). First time when my father filled in the application he mentioned as un-employed but I think agriculture occupation should be categorised under self-employed. Is it correct? If yes, would it be an issue if we mention as self employed when we make the next application, contradicting to the first?

2. The reason for the refusal of visa first time was due to not consistently maintaining funds in my fathers account. My father deposited around 2 lakhs INR few days before applying the visa and this didn't seem to have convinced the entry clearance officer.
Inorder to prove the deposited money is genuinely my fathers we would like to provide a letter explaining the income was as a result of harvesting/selling crops once every 6 months. Is this acceptable?

Please someone please advise about my case.

Thanks in advance.

Because a new application of a person whose situation has not changed since the previous application will be met with the same decision as the previous application.
