Please help - EEA family permit

Hello everyone,

i hope you can give me advice on this please.

I am about to sponsor my husband to join me to uk by applying for EEA family permit.

I am an EEA national living and working in the UK for over 6 years.

My question is about the new income threshold of £18,600.

on my Payslip, my annual salary is £17,104 but i take home average £1800 every month as I work overtime. based on my monthly take home, i take home over £22000. I am quite worried if our application will be denied based on my annual salary or will the ECO consider my take home about which is above the minimum income threshold..

I will be adding my 2 last p60s and payslips from january till date.


Please help me with your expert advice on what to do.

just to add as well. I do not hold permanent residence in UK even though i am qualified to . does this law apply to me?

EU applications are exempt from the 18,600 financial threshold.

There is no income requirement for EEA citizens. In your case you will just have to provide a photocopy of your passport, and a pay slip or other proof that you are working (since you do not yet have proof that you already have PR).

You do hold PR already if you have been working for over 6 years. The card is just a way of the government confirming the PR that you already have.

seriously????, If this is true i will role on the floor. PLEASE tell me it is true. i have made so many calls and read alot on the internet and I am all being told that it is applicable to anyone living in the UK that wants to sponsor a non EU family member

actually i have been living here for 13 years and have always been working , but in my current job for 6 years. I just havent bothered to apply for PR.
OMG... I will be able to sleep tonight with this news i am receiving. omg, i'm so happy. I can produce 6 years of payslips if they wish. thanks a lot

Your husband is a family member of an EU citizen.

Since you have PR, you no longer even need to be working. But it does not matter how much savings you or your husband have (do NOT answer those questions on the application form), and does not matter what your husband is or will be doing for work (do NOT answer those questions on the application form).

Since you do not have a PR card, you should answer the question about your employer, but do not write down how much money you make on the application.
