referees for child born in uk

Post by wenner » Thu Oct 11, 2012 8:18 pm

I got my ILR last week and I now have permanent job.I now want to register my child as a British citizen as she was born here.I took her to my home country when she was 7 months old.She is now 16 months old.Would it still be ok to ask my gp to act as a referee considering it was a while since she saw her?My daughter was an outpatient of my local hospital.I was thinking of asking the pediatrician if the gp refuses, but then again, he saw her when she was only 4 months old.Or is it best to get local doctor from home to sign where the child is present?

I have a friend who is British and she knows me for 6 years, and she knew my child while she was still in UK.Can I ask her to act as one of the referees?I am just desperate to have my daughter back.I didnt intend for her to stay in my country, her dependency visa was refused when I applied for it in my home country. My husband is not in UK yet, so I cant apply for her ILR,that is out of question.I was thinking of getting her over on visitors visa, but now my mother doesnt want to take a risk to bring her over and say that my daughter will go back home with her, when intention is to stay. Please, please, if anyone knows what I can do about this referee business, I will really appreciate your advice.

Thank you
