Tier 1 - Extension

Post by avaya » Fri Oct 12, 2012 10:21 am

Hello,

I am going for my visa extension during January 2013. Currently I am living with my wife and she joined me this August 2012 from India.

For my council tax I have declared as single occupancy and getting the 25% discount. My wife name is not included in the council tax bill.

Will it be a problem during the extension if my wife name is not included?

This is not relevant to the application but you do need to contact the council and ask for you bill to be revised based on your new circumstances beginning in August. A prosecution (in the event that you fail to declare this) will affect your ILR application.

Thanks for this,

Also regarding ILR application are they going to check my past 5 years TAX details and council information?

They are going to look for offences. So, if you don't commit any offences, it does not matter what checks are made, does it?

Hello,

I am due to go for my TIER -1 extension on January 2013. I am showing my earnings from Jan 2012 - Dec 2012.

I am getting paid to my account in the following month example for the month of September I will get paid around mid of October. So for December as well I will get paid mid of January 2013.

Will this be a problem if my earnings fall over 12 month period as I am claiming my earnings jan 2012- dec 2012.

A letter from the employer certifying that the salary for a given month is only paid into the employees' account in the following month should help.

It's fine as long as you show 12 salaries.
