married to a British citizen. been here since 2002. BC now??

Post by benz710 » Sun Oct 14, 2012 1:29 am

I came to the uk as a student in 2002. I got married to my wife on 20/3/2010 and got a 2-year spouse visa on around 12/6/2010.

I got ILR on 10/10/2012.

Here are the questions:

1. Can I apply for British citizen now?

if so continue to question 2.

2. in section 2 , they ask for the date and place of first arrival in the UK. Which date do I tell them?

3. for supporting documents, they ask for the evidence of lawful residence during the 3 years before the date of the application. But I don't get my 2-year spouse BRP back. How can I prove my lawful residence during that period? also Do I need to send my student BRP to cover the past 3 years?

Thank you very much.

1. Yes, if your wife is a British citizen.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!
