sugadev, don't really understand what you are asking regarding the Liverpool team?

Cypher2k12,
I meant the biometric letter. If it was from Liverpool. And also did you apply with dependents? Thanks.

Hooray! Mine came last week. I got my BRP but not my letter yet!
Type of application: SET(M)
Type of previous residency: 1 year student + 2 years post-study work (married UK citizen during this time) + 2 years FLR(M)
Date Applied: October 1, 2012 - through Islington council checking service
Type of payment: Credit card
Date they took the money: October 5
Date of the acknowledgement letter: October 10
Date of biometric letter: November 19 (received November 21)
Date of biometric enrolment: November 21
Date of approval: February 2, 2013 (date on BRP)
I only received this after I wrote to my MP in mid-January, and he called the hotline in the last week of January. I'm not sure how much of an effect this had, but the timing is a little suspicious to me - not that I'm complaining!

sugadev, the biometric letter was not from Liverpool and didn't apply with any dependents. Hopefully you will here soon though

sugadev,
please forgive my ignorance but does it make any difference if the letter is from liverpool or others?

I just heard from someone that Liverpool has huge backlog compared to other centres. I just called UKBA, waited for good 40 minutes and a lady replied with a standard answer "Under Process". When asked again whether it means "with a case worker", she said all that she can see is "Under Process". Hope this drama ends soon and well.

I have been reading through some FoI requests at this website
http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/body/ukba ... SET%28O%29
There are some interesting statistics on their past performance and maybe indication of current performance too
If they can clear past backlogs at better rate than incoming ones, that might mean most recent applications are processed quicker
But that remains a mystery

thanks gmx. I saw another october applicant with almost similar timeline had the approval. The problem is along with hope, my anxiety is growing bigger. I have written to my MP to see if he can find out anything based on my frequent travels offshore. Fingers crossed.

Hi everyone,
Like a few already on here I have been a silent reader. I've been looking at October timelines to see when I might get my ILR. Well, today I received my documents back from UKBA saying that I'll have my biometric card within 7 working days.
Since this forum kept me sane during my wait, I'd like to share my timeline for those still waiting...
Application sent: 23 Oct 2012 Set(M)
Payment taken: 27 Oct 2012
Acknowledgement letter: 30 Oct 2012
Biometric letter received: 22 Nov 2012
Biometrics registered: 24 Nov 2012
Letter, documents, and passport from UKBA: 16 Feb 2013
Biometrics: waiting
My documents and passport were returned today, with a Liverpool sticker. Liverpool seems to be working faster than other locations.
Again, thank you for keeping me sane during my wait! I've been very lucky with a wait of 3 months and 3 weeks.
I hope those still waiting get theirs soon!

I just turned down an offer to lead a project. God.... I cannot travel to Germany for a fresh project; can't go offshore for new proposals... no news from my MP. how ridiculous.

I applied for SET M unmarried partner' 16th October, money taken out of my account 2 days later!!! Biometrics taken on the 28th Nov. 4 months later I get a letter requesting my marriage certificate!!! The case workers can't even read our applications properly. These idiots are controling our lives! I tried to call UKBA and was met with a rude, call after 6 months or write and post a letter to Liverpool! I have no way of knowing if this error is getting sorted out. I called my MP's office and was told that some cases could take 18 months!!! They were not very helpful either.

marriage certificate for unmarried partner.... I feel sorry for you but can't stop laughing at UKBA case worker. You can write your explanation as to why you cannot present the document and send it as recorded delivery to the address mentioned in the letter. Hopefully they would consider it. All the best.

Congrats Lena P!
It seems that SET(M) applicants are on average getting their approvals earlier than SET(O)

I reckon currently they are processing applications for which they sent letter to submit Biometrics in the last week of November. So, anyone who received the letter in Dec, 12 should wait for next 2-3 weeks. It's just my view only.
