another wonderful experience at the Belfast PEO

Post by belfastpeo » Fri Oct 26, 2012 10:03 pm

I had an appointment at belfast peo today, and am amazed at the speed and the cordial manner in which my case was handled. My appointment was at 9:30, I reached at 9. The usual procedure as expected ensued. I will not go into the minute by minute detail, for few others have already done it in this forum. In short, airport style security, token collection, interview, payment, biometric and finally the passport return. There was a family of three in front of me in the queue with a toddler, which delayed my processing. Even with that delay, I was out of the peo by 11, WITH MY APPROVAL LETTER IN HAND!!! I should be getting my new biometric card in a week by post.

I am from London, so I was apprehensive about traveling to Belfast. But since this was the only peo I managed appointment for, I had no choice.

My case itself was pretty straight forward, a single applicant for ILR. 1 year WP+4 year tier 1. Even if I had an year of tier 1 left, I did not want to wait. The documents submitted: 12 months pay slips, and 12 months bank statement, life in UK pass certificate, passport size photos, passport, previous biometric card and the filled application form. I carried with me 5 year p60s and degree certificate, but they were never asked for.

Finally, I would like to thank this forum for all the help. Over the years this forum had been of tremendous help to me in each and every step of the way. I had been a silent reader who never had anything new to ask because every thing I had to ask was asked and ANSWERED!! :)

There was a lady from a visa processing agency accompanying her client. During our casual chit chat she said that the staff at belfast peo were the most cordial and helpful of all she had seen, which I imagine must be true.
