Refused on English Certificate

Hi,

My wife was refused because we applied without the KET certificate. she sat exam on oct 13. but the result will not be out till Nov 21.

Application date: 01/07/2012
Refusal date: 14/10/2012

We are going to appeal, but 28 days will pass.
So can we submit certifate say end of nov and be accepted?

There's no point in appealing as it appears the decision was correct if your wife failed to meet the language requirement. You should re-apply once your wife passes the test.

The requirement is to "pass the test" at an acceptable level, not just "take the test".

Please I need your about English test..I apply fresh flr(0) this month,but I only put letter on my application showing I sit for the test because the result not out when I post my application and I have only received acknowledge letter but i got the result now and i pass.please what can I do now

You left it too late, the requirements is to have passed the test before the pplication is submitted not just sitting the test as mentioned above.

However since your application is still being processed once thing you can do is send the results to be added to your application bundle somehow, but there is no guarantee of it being attached.

Call the UKBA helpline and try to get an address and if possible a contact name and number. Post a certified copy of your results to that address with a cover letter to say that the results were delayed and you could not wait due to VISA being expired or some other rlevant excuse

Keep the original certificate with you in case it is lost in the process.

Hopefully, when your application is processed, your results might be with it.
