Documents for EU4FAM

Post by ARGO » Mon Oct 29, 2012 2:42 pm

My wife`s five years stamp 4 expires in next few months.
She could apply for a Irish passport next year.
In a mean time I have to apply using EU1 form, so she is legally here before she can apply for citizenship.
I have looked at EU3 form but the documents needed are just ridiculous. Don`t want to waste time with that.

What documents for EU1 I have:
Letter of employment- full time
Pay slips.
Electricity bill in my name only.
Tax certificate for both of us, same address
Bank statements for both of us, same address.

What I dont have:
No rent book, pay landlord through direct debit - proof ?
No PRTB, landlords responsibility ? ( On EU3 they do not ask for it for some reason)
No contract with landlord, shook hands with him 3 years ago and that was it.
I do have receipt of deposit that I paid to agency.
I am not sure that he even resides in Ireland, seen him twice in 2 years.

I am afraid that what I have may not satisfy INIS.
Any input welcome
Cheers.

After reviewing website I come to conclusion that is best to apply for Permanent residence card for my wife.

Documents that I have:

P60 for 7 years except one for 2010, lost in post.
P21 from revenue for last 5 years, it would cover 2010
Bank statements for last 5 years, electronic, could print let`s say 10 to confirm my residence.
Current bills in my name.
Letter from employer- full time job
Payslips
My wife`s bank statement and revenue certificate.
I will try to contact landlord or his accountant to write letter that would confirm my residence for last 3 years.
Anything else ???

The evidence of direct debit to the landlord is proof that you were paying rent.

If the landlord has registered your tenancy with the PRTB, they will have this recorded using your PPS number. You could contact the PRTB, asking for these details, mentioning the Data Protection Act and the Freedom of Information Act. This may cause problems for your landlord, if he has failed to register/if he is not paying tax, so I would not do it unless it is absolutely necessary.

Thanks for that,
The evidence I have prove without doubt that I have been in employment continuously for 7 or so years which in itself is enough!
I did go on PRTB website and downloaded current registration list for my area.
My place of residence is registered but I am not sure if in my name.!?
I think - as you pointed out, best to try to find my current landlord ( hope he is in country) and talk to him.
