Hi, I was hoping you guys/ladies could help me. I am currently in the UK on a spousal visa and will need to apply for my visa extension/ILR before 20 Jan 2013.
My spousal visa was issued on the 20th of October 2010 and I arrived in the UK on the 8th of November 2010. From what I have read on the Home office website we can apply for my ILR from the 8th of November 2012 and I have secured an appointment for the 30th of November 2012. I just wanted to firstly confirm that I am not applying for my visa too early.
Secondly, I have worked away from home. When I arrived I was offered a temp position close to home for a few days in December 2010. I was then asked to work from their London office and worked for them from January 2011 until April 2011 when my contract expired. I did return home over weekends during that period.
I was unemployed from April 2011 to July 2011 (not claiming benefits) I was then asked to return to the same company in London from July 2011 to October 2011. Which I did as we needed the money. In April 2012 I did a 1 month contract in London which I ended as I was not happy with being away from home. From the end of April 2012 until August 2012 I have been at home, unemployed and finally found a position in my town in September 2012 albeit a part time position of 24 hours a week. I am not sure how this will affect my application.
I am sorry if these questions have been posted before. I just want to make sure I am 100% prepared for my interview and make any changes to my appointment date now if I need to.
Thank you.
