Do I need a solicitor?

Post by NemesisDude » Mon Nov 05, 2012 1:28 pm

I am planning to apply for ILR, do I need a solicitor for paper work OR it is straight forward? Any tips from experience. (My case is not complicate, one employer, no issues with holidays, good earnings)

Also, how difficult is it to get appointment for on-the-day service (to avoid postal application)? Is there any service which checks our paper work before we submit it?

Thanks a lot for your help.

1. Whether or not you need the services of a solicitor depends very much on the confidence you have in your application and circumstances. Other people have gradually built that confidence by reading through the hundreds of discussion on this forum.

2. It is not difficult to get the appointment, provided you have persistence and perseverance.
