Help Needed Regarding form MN1

Post by lotstoread » Mon Nov 12, 2012 7:26 pm

Hi All,

I am willing to apply for my 13month old sons british nationality & passport. Me and my wife are on ILR which was approved in October 2012. I will be applying under section 3(1) I presume?

Please can anybody answer the following questions

1) Section 3 in the form MN1 - can this be left blank as neither me nor my wife is a british citizen.

2) Section 5 - Can my friend who is a professional and a british citizen sign as one referee and my other friend who is an accountant sign as other refree?

3) Can you please advise the list of documents that I need to send with the application - as I am not clear from the guidelines. As per the guidelines there is no mention of any documents which will prove i am on ILR.

Please can a complete list of documents be advised, also does all the documents need to be original? For instance if i am sending my bio metric residence permit - does it have to be original?

4) Lastly once i get a naturalisation certificate, how do i apply for british passport? Is there any other form for that? Is there any same day service?

I will appreciate if any of you experts can answer me at your earliest.

Thanking you all in advance. [/b]

you will need the full birth certificate of your child showing the parent's names AND your passport showing your ILR stamp.

But there is no ILR stamp now. Do we need to send original BRP or ILR approval letter?

Thanks
