Leave to Remain for Tier 1 (Applying ILR) Dependent

Post by kzee » Tue Nov 20, 2012 12:21 am

Hi,

Apologies, if a similar question has been already posted and answered.

I am currently on Tier 1 (extended from HSMP) and looking to apply my ILR (in person) in January 2013. My wife is currently on Tier 1 dependent visa and both of our visas are expiring by end of Jan 2013.

I have looked at the topic http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=114832 which suggests that my wife's PBS dependent leave can be extended and it will require only showing the maintenance funds.

My questions are:
  • Which form should i use for my wife's visa?
  • Is there any benefit of switching to FLR (M)?
  • Would she have to fulfil English language requirement?
  • Do i need to take two separate appointments for in person application or only one will do the job for both of our visa applications?
Looking forward for your response.
Thanks

1. Click on the links provided in the topic you refer to.
2. If your wife is not a doctor / dentist then, AFAIK, no.
3. Refer to the requirements of the category that she wishes to apply under (follow suggestion as in 1 above).
4. There must be a reason why one needs to specify the type of application one intends to make when booking an appointment.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!
