Hi Everyone,

Just a quick question what if i register a company to trade as TAXI / CHAUFFEUR OPERATOR and register myself as director of company.

will it fall in NQF level 4 or above?

or do i still need to mention the job title for myself like Office Manager etc?

please advise

many thanks for your prompt reply.... like you said NO to my question kindly could you or someone else please shed some light on this as I will register a Taxi Company and I will be a Director of the company and Also i will be working as Office Manager (SOC CODE 1152) and that falls in NQF LEVEL 4 or Above Category.

As per my understanding i meet the requirement of Graduate level job.

Kindly could you please advise on this and i am so confused about this.

1. If you read the guideline UKBA has given use this taxi firm business example that its not acceptable.

2. Business has to be equivalent to NQF Level 4. its logical if your business is not on Level 4 then how come your job title can be?

3. if you still not happy with my response then try this job title with taxi business and let me know when you receive visa.

Many thanks for your advised you have definately saved me from getting into trouble and definate a Visa Refusal.

Now I have decided to apply in IT category which will be supported by my qualifications as I have Degree in Computer Science.

Category : Section J -- Information and Communication.

SOC Code : 2132

Job Title : Graduate Developer

Minimum Rate : £22,300


I hope i meet all the requirements for Graduate Level Occupation / Level 4 NQF.

But i have a question once i have been granted leave to remain under Tier 1 Enterpreneur and than I decided to buy a running Taxi Firm, will I be able to buy the business or still it will be same problem of Graduate Level Occupation. Please help me on this.

1,consider looking into job title once again, if this title meets the requirements with business you do, then its fine.

2. you have to invest 50K in level 4 business if you got extra cash i think u can invest elsewhere or do an other business.

Hi Shaukat,

If you have better suggestion than please advice as I ave check the soc code document and I can also go for job title: web developer and its nqf level 6 job too.

And also I have a question about the investment of funds in uk as per my understanding someone told me I have to invest 50 percent of fund in first 6 months in the business is that correct or do I have 3 years to invest that fund and create jobs.

So please advice
