Hi Amber,

I may have to apply for my wife's FLR(M) in June 2016, she has been given 30 months on FLR(M) in dec 2013. And I believe that this was a mistake on UKBA side (As she was a work permit dependent prior to swithcing to FLR(M), I got my ILR via 10 years route). I am trying to contact them and ask them whether she can apply for ILR on SET(M) instead of waiting till 2018. In case if I have been told that I fall under new rules, I just want to know that I am doing everything right.

I am claiming child benefit for my son who is a British citizen and my self I am a British citizen now. My wife's visa letter says that "she can't claim any public funds, in addition her sponsor (myself) is not entitled to claim or receive any public funds on behalf of her".

I am confused whether I can or can't claim child benefit.. what does it means by "behalf of you"? I sincerely apologise if this is a silly question. Also, I run a small business and she is working as an admin person. We are planning to increase her wage to £19000 per annum and by the time she applys for her leave to remain, she will have 7 months salary slips at £19000 paid into her account.

And myself I draw a small amount as salary £10,000 year.
She has already passed her A1 English test for previous FLR(M).

Do I have any complication in applying for my wife's FLR(M) in June 2016?
