Thanks and apologies for unable to find the relevant FAQ.

Quick one - In Croydon, will I have the chance to get this clarified, before payment or do they take the payment first and then process the case /listens to you - Also, I am assuming if I go BC route for my kids, they do not need biometric.

I believe you pay first but I don't see any issue that needs to get clarified. Search the forum (try in the ILR section) and you will read many similar stories.

If the children don't apply for ILR, biometrics are not required.

I recently did appply for dependent visa for my new born (on Work Permit) on 9/11/12 using PEO @ Croydon. You have to pay first at ground floor after which you proceed for applciaiton on top floors in the UKBA building.
My 3 month old had biometric (Only photo, no finger prints or retina check)
