UK leaving EU scenario?

i'm an EU national, studied here 3 years, now in employment and looking at starting up a business, in the unlikely event of UK quitting EU, how will my residency rights be affected? Don't really want to waste any money if I won't be able to carry on living here.

I think it is unlikely Uk will leave the eu even if they do you think they will kick out all the eu nationals out?I don't think so.

There would probably be a process for EU/EEA state resident citizens to transition to a domestic immigration status (and vice-versa for British citizens resident in EU/EEA states).

I also believe if it came to that, it will not be in UK's interest to undertake a mass expulsion of EU nationals and their family members. It will not be economically viable or feasible, there will be serious repercussion for the over a million UK nationals who live in the EU. UK will have to quit the ECHR to do this. They will not be part of the EEA, which be an economically suicidal thing.

There will have to be an orderly transition. I dont think that transition will affect free movement. If the UK want to have free movement and free trade, then there will have to be free movement of people.
