Dependent visa for my Parents

Post by deep_sing » Thu Jan 03, 2013 2:26 pm

I have been supporting my parents last 5 years. Now its been very difficult financially and logically to support them and also my father is Cancer patient so travelling back and forth has been a problem for me. How difficult will it be to apply for dependent visa for parents both are 70+?

It's very difficult. Age is not relevant. Incapacity and lack of assistance in that location are the qualifying factors. If you support them from the UK you can continue to do so. If they need assistance in their daily lives, you can hire a nurse or person to perform those duties.
You can apply to join a settled person in the UK if:

You need long-term personal care to perform every day tasks, such as washing and cooking.
The care you need is not available in the country where you are living, either because it is not available and there is no person in the country where you are living who can reasonably provide it or it is not affordable.
