highlighting entries on bank statement

Post by wazee89 » Sun Jan 06, 2013 11:35 pm

is it ok to highlight entries or important texts on documents?
would UKBA treat it as tempering?

Highlighting your salary deposit entries in your bank statement(s) and the corresponding value in your payslip(s) will help the caseworker cross-check & verify your previous earnings. I have done this in all my previous applications, and not had any issues.

As long as you are not thinking of using highlighter to change the value of your salary and bank balance :D (which you can not do anyway), then it is the best thing you have ever done for yourself.
I have done it in all my dealings with UKBA and it has sped up the time I stay in HO.
Go for it, I would say

I don't put any marks on my bank statements (highlighting, comments, etc). I use coloured post-it flags that you stick onto the pages e.g. yellow to show salary transactions, blue for dividends, etc. The caseworker can see the relevant transactions right away, but you can remove the flags after you receive your documents back.
