Just received a response from UKBA regarding the amount of applications submitted in December.
Specifically you asked:
- 1. I would like to know how many postal SET (O) applications have been submitted as a Long Residence (10 Years) for ILR between 17 December 2012 and 23 December 2012?
2. Of these how many have been decided?
Due to the volume of Freedom of Information requests received and staff being re-directed to assist with case-working applications for leave to remain, we are unable to provide responses to specific time frames or breakdown of application types beyond the application form used by the main applicant. The information we have provided is by application form and by month. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and hope the information we are able to supply is useful.

I am able to advise you that the total number of ILR Set (O) applications received for the month of December 2012 was 1,714, of which 408 have been decided.

Thanks TheGreenTea for sharing

At the current rate, they would only decide less than 50% of applications within 6 months.

If you look at table 2 in our trusty old FOI response
https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... ing-375906 you can see that the progress is not linear so you can't project out the progress to date to get a prediction for the six months.

If anything they seem to be making better progress on the December applications than their overall stats for last year.

I agree, I also think that December apps are going to see a spike in results over the next 2 months.

I like the optimism :) Thanks for correction. We will see about that later.

Since I'm still waiting for my overdue ILR, I hope there's indeed a progress even if it's hard to believe.

I'm also waiting to see what numbers we have for Sep, Oct, and Nov.

Not sure I am that optimistic, just saying you can't really make a prediction based on those numbers, but as your link rightly shows the July and August stats are appalling in terms of the mantra of 95% in 6 months. I can understand your frustration with an overdue application, I am frustrated and nervous and mine is not even overdue yet. What I cant't get my head around is you would expect and as they constantly state applications are processed in the order they are received, and yet towards the end of March there were thousands of UN processed July and August applications and 400 odd December applications have been processed.

If you believe HO statements, they do some sort of checks on each applicant. I am guessing the delays occur when this checks are taking longer than exacted. Hence easy cases get decided quickly and complicated ones take ages (and our definition of a complicated case might differ significantly from the HO definition).
Let's be happy that they do process some applications :-)

Is there anyone who has applied in December using SET(O) or SET(M) and whose ILR application is successful?? I don't see any post on this topic since long and I'm getting a bit edgy as it's almost 5 months since I applied.

I have applied in 3rd week of December, still waiting. 2 people I know have recently received ILR, both waited around 7 months and that seems to be the average waiting time right now. December guys who are still waiting just hang in there. Wait is almost over.

That's good to know. Anyone else has received their ILR so far? It's 6 months now and I'm quite concerned.

Thanks for the updates. I'm still waiting for mine and it's now 6 months plus 2 days and I'm getting concerned. The immigration bureau are also not answering their phone. Anyway we can know the status of an application?

Well, I am still waiting for mine. Last Tuesday it was exactly 6 months..
I have asked a lawyer to send my employer's letter asking to expedite my application on the account of business travels. He agreed but warned me that whilst it is not going to damage in any way my application but it will most likely produce no results.

i just finished calling home office 5 minutes ago. same standard reply, ""your Application is still under consideration"". I tried to ask for any other information, but in vain. my call was in queue for almost 25 minutes. please Balu_sw, and TheGreenTea, keep updating any progress related to your applications.
