ILR Success @ Croydon PEO - 07/01/2013

Post by vikrant1982 » Thu Jan 10, 2013 9:41 am

First of all I would like to thank this forum for providing me all the information I needed.

I have got my ILR approved on 7th Jan, my case was straight forward -
2008 - WP
2009 - WP
2010 - WP/Tier2
2010 - Tier 1 General
2012 - Tier 1 Extended

Booked my appointment on 26th Nov 7:30 am. I had tried to book after midnight at around 00:30 but the site was crashing every now and then, luckily got the appt next morning.

I had my 11:55 appointment so reached there about 30 min early. After security check the lady on the ground floor counter checked my form, passport and BRPs. Then I went to first floor to pay the fees, and just like that... £2755 gone!!!

Ticket Display monitors are not working so you have to listen to annoucements carefully.. especially when your little ones are with you :)

A lady at counter 09 announced my ticket number but asked me to go to second floor, and after waiting about 20 min on secodn floor another lady at counter 34 again put me back in first floor queue.. great I said!!! This was really frustrating. I thought I will speak to customer care lady but she was busy on another phone and not even interested to take any queries.

Fianally..after another 15 min my ticket was announced and that gentleman registered my case, after that I had biometric with my wife and daughter. Then again after about 20-30 min a lady called my ticket and asked for all the documents, I asked her if she want me to pass my folder with all the docs. She said yes. Again I asked if she want me to pass the other folder with photocopies, she said yes. She told me that it will take hour or so to check everything and will call me if need anything. Thats all .. no more questions asked, she went back to her workstation.

After about 45 min she gave me back my folder and approval letter. She kept photocopies (not folder just some documents like bank statements, payslips etc.)

Documents Submitted -

File - 1
------------------------------------------

1. Passports + BRPs
2. Payslips 12 months (Attested copies)
3. Bank Statement 12 months
4. LIUK Test results
5. Cohabitation documents - last 2 years (Council letters, GP cards, UKBA letters)
6. Photographs
7. Last five year's P60 (To show economic activity)
8. Previous WPs
9. Employer Letter (I am permamnent employee)
10. Marriage Certificate
11. Child’s Birth Certificate (Born outside UK)
12. Set - O Application form - 12/12

File - 2 (Photocopies)
------------------------------------------
1. Bank Statements
2. Payslips
3. Passports and BRP (Main Applicant + Spouse + Child)
4. Employer Letter
5. Marriage Certificate
6. Child’s Birth Certificate
7. Cohabitation documents (Council letters, GP cards, UKBA letters)
8. 5 P60s
9. WP

Overall Croydon PEO experience.. not so good. But again it depends on person to person.

Congrat vikrant1982! Thanks for posting your experience. May I ask what the purpose of item "9. Employer Letter " was? Additionally were any questions raised on absences at all (if you had any)?

@cs95tdg thank you :)
Actually employer letter was not required but since I am permanent employee and this letter was easily available to me from my HR dept I just took it with me.

Not a single question asked by CW, we hardly had 2 min conversation.
