Family Visa,black x passport

Post by patcarter » Mon Jan 14, 2013 3:20 pm

Hi,
Would be very grateful to anyone who can give us some good advice on the following issues.
Quick sum up of my story of who I am as follows;
I got married to a American girl last year on July 10th in USA after dating her for 2 years,
After many trips from The UK of which I am a citizen.
We are very much in love and struggle to be apart,
with every given chance I have taken trips back to the States on the 3 month waiver visa twice a year.
Last year she came to the UK on a tourist visa from August to November.
Then in December tried to come back,
this is where the problems start!!
She was stopped at Heathrow and grilled on and off for 6 hrs.
She was refused on the grounds of intending to stay and not return.
This was so untrue!!!
We were trying to be together as much as possible until I get enough credits to apply for
a spouse visa.
I explained to the immigration officer that we were not trying to be deceitful but maybe naïve.
But was still refused her entry to the UK with a nasty black cross on her
USA passport.
One good thing was that the immigration officer said we won’t ban her for 10yrs but she must
Apply for the correct visa next time.
OK my concerns or our current status as follows;
Will she have difficulty getting through on a Family visa now she as a black mark on passport?
I have only started my new job self-employed last December so don’t have enough savings or income to show them over a six month period, though I am earning £600 plus a week.
I have small debts of around £2000
Fortunately I have a friend in London who is prepared to sign a Affidavit sponsor form
To say he would also help to cover any expense while she is here in the UK.
How much does he need to show immigration financial for 3months or 6months visit?
Is it best to go through a web immigration lawyers from here on wards?
Any questions or advise VERY MUCH appreciated
Thx Pat,Chrissy
