Durable Relationship Help needed :)

Hello! I need a bit of help here and I would be super greatful if someone can help me.

I can't find the answer to my question, as I have been trying to contact the Border Agency but All they can give me is an email address where I can send my quiery, which I did but havent recieved any answers yet.

Um so, Me and my partners are Bulgarian nationals. I have been in the uk for 4 years and a few months and my partner only 1 year. I have a student work permit. We have been together for 5 years

However in order for my partner to work, he also needs a work permit. But as I have one - I know that he can work without restrictions as long as I remain a student. But now the problem is - we have to prove that we are in a durable relationship - but How?
Is it OK that we have ONLy lived together in the UK 1 year? But I have been going back to Bulgaria many times in this 4 year period - and there we have also lived together. Also we dont have any bills on both of our names (in fact on any name) as we live in a shared house and of course the landlord wouldnt put down our names when it comes to bills.

Any idea how to prove our durable relationship? Thanks a Lot! (btw sorry for tbe spelling mistakes but I am posting this from my phone)
