Member states can charge a little bit for a Residence Card, but no more than they would charge their own citizens for a similar card.

Thanks Directive but does that mean they WILL charge us eventhough it says we are exempt?

And when you say "no more than a similar card", the GNIB now costs 300 euro, so you're saying they won't charge more than that? But I am aware they won't charge us more than that, I am just wondering why they would charge us at all seeing as it clearly says we are exempt on the INIS website.

GNIB cards are not issued to IRISH citizens. So even if they charged 999 euros for it, it would not be relevant for the price of an RC.

Right now the price of an RC (4EUFam) is free.

This is a request to the Mods, would you mind merging this thread with this other one on EU travel?

http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... 331e993e5c

or make it a sticky and amend the title.

I believe it would provide information to those who have Stamp4 EUFam via De facto relationship.
