What's my dependants immigration status during my app

Post by leoinuk » Tue Jan 15, 2013 11:42 pm

Hi All,

I'm on T1(G), my wife is on T1 depandant, we have been married and living together for 5 years now.
I will apply for ILR next month in PEO, she will apply after my approval. This is due to difficulty to get a slot.

So, my question is what my wife's immigration status will be in the case that my application were delayed. (hopefully not). This sounds silly but just want to clarify what the situation would be in that case. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Many thanks.
Leo

what are your/her visa exp dates?

why do you foresee any delays in your ILR approval/decision?

Both of our visa expires on 31 March 2013.
I guess I'm that kind of guy who always prepare for the worst? My case is typical company director case (salary + dividend), not crazy straight forward but fairly normal nothing would surprise CW I hope. But still, it'd be good to know the worst since we are not applying together. So would you advise please, wpilr? Thanks.

In the worst case scenario - you get a delayed ILR decision of approval, by which time your wife's visa has expired.

To protect her, she would need to extend her PBS Dependent visa. (Cost involved).

Could you be able instead get a paid service for PEO booking/representation for Joint ILR Application and use the money there instead of paying to renew/extend.

In a joint application, your wife will continue to be protected the same way you are in case your decision is delayed.

So, IMO it is just a matter of where you want to spend the money.
