ILR for my wife

Post by ForumsPK » Mon Jan 28, 2013 11:31 am

Would appreciate some advise in my matter.

I am planning to apply for ILR for my wife who came to the UK mid April 2011. I guess I can make an application mid March as 28 days before the eligibility? If so, would the same day service will give us the decision on the same day including Biometeric Permit?

We'll be travelling soon afterwards so wanted to make sure we get the passport back without any issues?

Thanks

What is your wife's current visa status and exact dates of issue, expiry and date of entry to the UK?

Most applications are decided on the day at PEO appointments if your case is straightforward. Biometric Residence Permits are posted to you 7-10 days after your appointment and are not issued at the PEO. You will get your passports back on the day but you will have to wait for the permit.

CR001, thanks for your response. She is on a valid residence permit expiring 15 June 2013. It was granted on 15th April 2011.

Question I wanted to ask could I make an appointment on 17th of March 2013?

Thanks

She can apply no earlier than 28 days before the 2nd anniversary of her arrival in the UK.
