Hi guys,
I applied for my Indefinite Leave to Remain through the SET(M) form and made use of the settlement checking service in Edinburgh. Prior to this I was granted a two year unmarried partners visa for two years. I do have a couple of queries about this.
The settlement checking service took about 90 minutes to complete copying all my documentation. She did however return all of our documents including my (Indian) passport and my partners (UK) passport while retaining my original BRP with the application. I was always under the impression that the passport would be retained by them too?. Anyways this was back in November 2012 around the last week of November (23rd I think). I then received confirmation to my office address (which I had mentioned as correspondence address) that the application is being processed and the deducted the money from my account.
In the beginning of January 2013(07th) I received a letter to enroll my biometric details at the nearest post office which I did the same day. This letter however was sent to my home address (The reason why I said correspondence address as office in the application was because there has been incidents of mail going missing in my apartment block and I am worried that this might happen to my new BRP if they send it to my home address).
My query is from personal experience, on average how much time does it take for an application to be processed and BRP sent out once the Bio Metric details have been enrolled?. Do they send this to the home address or the correspondence address that I mentioned? Please advise at your earliest convenience and thank you in advance for all the help. I know its only been two months since the application, I am just worried that they will send the BRP to my home address than the correspondence address.
