Citizenship for minor (newborn child)

Post by pariknarain » Mon Feb 04, 2013 3:57 pm

Hi

We are planning to apply Citizenship for our son who was born in the UK through Hertfordshire NCS on 21st Feb 2013.
Both my wife and I will have ILR before we apply Citizenship for our son.

NCS have mentioned a 2-3 month processing time for the application.

We need to travel to India in the first week of May2013 (which cannot be delayed) , and I was wondering if there's a faster way of getting the citizenship process completed for our son by then.

Is it possible for my son to travel to India with his Indian passport and once the citizenship is provided (I can courier his passport to my family in India), he comes back to UK with British Passport?

Has anyone been a similar situation before?

Which happened first? You/wife got ILR, or your son was born?
Please do not send me PM if I haven't sent you one yet.
