continuous residency requirement for ILR?

Hello I am not Tier - 2 and consider taking sabbatical leave with my fiance. May or may not remain with the same employer, that's not been agreed on yet.

I understand if we leave for long enough I will have broken my continuous residence requirement for ILR. How long do we have to be away so not to break it? Is it 6 months or less or more?
