Employers reference letter details needed?

Post by faislondon » Thu Feb 14, 2013 2:38 pm

Hi Gurus,

I am on TIER 1 visa. Need to apply ILR next month. I was just wondering what details they need to put on the letter?. I am not willing to put my salary on it since I have done lot of overtime which obviously wont show on my package. My payslips and letter will then contradict. Guys please advise the details I can put on the employers letter.

Many thanks.

What is the purpose of the employer letter(s) you speak of?

Note that if applying for ILR as a Tier 1 General Migrant, there is no requirement to provide an employer letter for anything, unless you want your employer to confirm something that is specific to your application alone.

hi cs95tdg,

i am on HSMP + Tier1

so we don't need to produce any employment confirmation letter from the current employer or the previous employer that we worked for the most recent 12 months period of time ?

in my case i used to work for a Employer X until Mid of September / 2012 , and after that i am working for my current employer .

so i am going to include both employment gross earning for my ILR . and i am going to attache two letters from my current employer and X employer i worked for stating that my current annual salary and the X annual salary i received ,

do you think this is not necessary ? clarification needed please

thanks

1) Not necessary
2) Not necessary. Unless you are using employer letters in place of payslips as one source to prove your previous earnings for your T1G PBS score.

Hi "cs95tdg"
bit unclear about [point2]

i have all the payslips and bank statement to cover my gorss salary from my X employer until Mid of september/2012 and same for my current employer.
so do you think that is more than enough even though i am claiming for two employers to cover my earnings per 12 months period ?

sorry to bother you guru as you can see my tension (because fear of not approving my PR) of here for not getting your point,

If you have the original payslips or certified copies (by both employers, irrespective of who they are), then yes, there is no requirement to provide employer letters.
